Used in LedgerWorld™ reconciliation & cleanup work
Reconcile with a traceable answer.
LedgerWorld uses LedgerLogic™ to bring bank and general-ledger records into a disciplined review: identify supported matches, trace differences, and keep unresolved items visible until their conditions are met.
What LedgerLogic™ does
LedgerLogic™ is the reconciliation and exception-analysis system LedgerWorld uses in bank-to-ledger reviews and accounting cleanup. The workflow uses defined identifiers—amount, payee, and transaction reference—to assess records without rewriting the source data.
Each result is traceable to its source. A supported match can be marked as matched; a difference remains an exception with its reason and review status.
The review, step by step
Each stage leaves a record of what was reviewed and why the result was assigned.
Bring in the bank activity and the corresponding general-ledger activity for one defined period. The original files remain intact.
Evaluate amount, payee, and transaction reference against documented matching rules. A match is recorded only when the criteria support it.
Separate unmatched records, amount variances, cutoff items, duplicates, and split or combined activity so each difference has a review path.
When a correcting entry is appropriate, present it for review. It stays pending until an authorized person approves it; the source record is preserved.
One-month bank reconciliation specimen
The LedgerLogic™ specimen is a sample workbook built to show the review trail from source records to match results and exceptions. It includes a clean one-to-one match, a merchant deposit split between gross receipts and fees, a cutoff item, duplicate amounts with different references, and an unmatched item on each side.
It also shows the proposed correcting entry as pending approval. The sample is illustrative; it contains no client records.

The LedgerWorld™ discipline
LedgerLogic™ retains source evidence as received. Corrections are documented separately, preserving a clear trail.
A failed or incomplete condition does not become “clear” because a process needs to move forward. The reason remains visible for review.
Suggested corrections do not post themselves. Approval belongs to an authorized reviewer, with the decision and status recorded.
